Our range of unique
team building events
JIGSAW | GRIDLOCK | MISSION
IMPROBABLE | SCAVENGER
In order to proceed, it will be necessary for everyone to undertake a number of tasks and to fulfil certain requirements. Success at the tasks, either individually or as a group, will be rewarded points that can later be exchanged for pieces of Jigsaw. The definition of “success” in this instance resides solely with the task observers (so treat them nicely!).
Although
this team building event can be run entirely indoors, most people like us to
offer a few outdoor tasks, so the design is flexible enough that we can modify
each programme to use precisely those modules that are most appropriate to your
needs.
Suitable
for teams of between about six and 20 people, not only can this team day be run
virtually anywhere, it is also almost infinitely adaptable. We can include tasks ranging from the totally
cerebral to the largely physical, lasting from a few minutes to several
hours. If the location is suitable, we
can also include a range of more adventurous tasks and outdoor activities. This flexibility ensures that everyone is
kept fully occupied for the duration of the exercise, and that each person has
an essential role.
If your
objective is to bond the team, we can arrange for a series of enjoyably
different tasks that will keep everyone involved. If, on the other hand, you have identified specific
issues that need to be addressed, we can programme in tasks that highlight
those issues and raise people’s awareness of the factors involved.

Jigsaw
Run from This Teamday can be run virtually
anywhere!
Suitable for Teams of between about 6
and 20 people.
Duration Full day & half-day
options as standard. Longer residential
versions available.
Effort Physically undemanding
but mentally stretching.
Style Extremely flexible. This Teamday can be run totally indoors,
totally outdoors, or a mixture of the two.
Once all
the planks have been earned, the grids must then be put together against the
clock, either cooperatively or competitively.
In the cooperative event, the grids are completed one after the other as
in a relay – in the competitive event, individual teams compete to see who can
complete their grid in the fastest time.
We have seen three grids completed as a relay in less than 30 seconds,
and the record for one grid currently stands at less than 7 seconds! Now that’s what you call teamwork!
We have available a wide range of different tasks that can
be used to mimic work issues, thus enhancing the learning, and as with all our
other team building events, the final design is very much dependent upon your
particular requirements and training needs.
For further information without obligation, or to explore the ways in
which we can help you address any current issues, please contact the office on

Gridlock
Run from This Teamday can be run virtually
anywhere!
Suitable for Teams
of between about 20 and 60 people.
Duration Full
day & half-day options as standard.
Longer residential versions available.
Effort Physically
undemanding but mentally stretching.
Style Extremely
flexible. This Team building day can be run
totally indoors, totally outdoors, or a mixture of the two, and can be
delivered as a competitive or a cooperative event.
Due to the
possibility of interference by unfriendly outside agencies, we consider it
prudent that you divide into groups, and because the tasks may only be
attempted during certain time windows, it will be necessary for groups to
negotiate in order to decide who goes where and when. The future is in your hands!
Mission Improbable is
a popular and innovative team building event that can be run virtually anywhere
(except inner city locations!). It
involves a highly complex task, and success can only be achieved via a heady
combination of thorough planning, good project management, effective problem
solving, excellent communication and a high degree of negotiation. The learning is highly experiential and
relevant to work – and on top of all this, it is great fun!
This team building
event is designed in such a way that in order to succeed there must be
effective communication both within and between different project groups, the
membership of which is kept fluid and changes as the exercise progresses. The task is highly representative of the work
environment, and the learning, which is closely monitored by facilitators, can
easily be related to the “real world”.
All members of the team are kept involved throughout the day, and the
finale, which involves the destruction of one part of the device using
theatrical pyrotechnics, makes the learning even more memorable. Because of the nature of the device and the very
loud “bang” during the finale, we prefer not to run this task from inner city
locations.

Run from This Teamday can be run virtually
anywhere, although the “terrorist”
nature of the event means we are hesitant to run it in the centre of large
cities, and the “Doomsday Device” cannot be taken abroad!
Suitable for Teams
of between about 5 and 20 people.
Duration Full day & half-day
options as standard. Longer residential
versions available.
Effort Physically
undemanding but mentally challenging.
Style Co-operative,
requiring excellent communication skills, problem solving and project
management.
Building
upon the past success, we now offer a range of Scavenger exercises as fast,
furious and fun stand-alone events. These
are available in two different formats – (1) we can run them for you, or (2) we
can give you all the necessary information and material for you to run the
event yourself. Whatever format you
choose, you will receive a purpose designed Scavenger exercise that has been
adapted to reflect your business, the team, the number of participants, the
location, and the time available.
Scavenger is therefore suitable for all locations from inner-cities to
wilderness, and for teams of all sizes and types.
If you
would like us to run the event for you, we can either run it from a venue of your
choice (Scavenger is very popular as the finale to a meeting, conference or
training session), or we can source the venue for you. If you would like to run the event yourself,
we will provide all the necessary materials (including full briefs, answers,
score sheets, and facilitation notes), and will grant you a one-time licence to
run the event yourself on a given date and at a given location.
Please
contact the office on 01874 625111 to discuss you requirements in
detail, or complete our online enquiry form.
